Collection of your personal data

Subject to applicable laws, we collect information about you or with any third party whose you supply us the information when you:

  • register yourself or update your data to use our website, applications or services to ask or collect information produced by TGI Maritime Software (release notes, products documentation, newsletters);
  • complete on-line forms, take part in polls, post messages on our discussion forums, or participate in any activity proposed on the several interactive spaces on our website or on our applications or services;

Subject to applicable laws, we collect and process your data for the following purposes:

  • Communication : Newsletters management, release notes, satisfaction surveys, and all other commercial and operational communications;

Share of your data

Your data is not shared outside of TGI Maritime Software. It is stored in our database for our sole use.

Consultants or trainees working with TGI Maritime Software may have access to this data when they participate in actions to improve our services, when they are on assignment at TGI Maritime Software. However, under this term, they are under contract and submitted to a confidentiality clause.

Your data and your rights

If you live in the EEA or in another region governed by comparable data protection laws, you will have the right to know how we use your data, to access it, to request its modification or deletion, and to refuse that we use it.

If you withdraw your consent to our use of your personal data for the purposes set out in our Privacy Policy, we may, as a result, no longer be able to provide you access to all or part of our websites, applications and services.

Requests to exercise one of those rights shall be accompanied with a documentary evidence of your identity, (photocopy of your ID card or passport issued by French or EU authorities, permanent resident card issued by French authorities, residence card issued by French authorities). An answer will be sent within the 1 following month from the reception of the request.

If your discussions with TGIMS are not satisfactory, you can submit a complaint to the National Commission for Data Protection and Liberties (CNIL-France), which is the data protection authority for France.

Changes to Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may evolve and be subject to change without notice. We advise you to consult it regularly for any questions regarding the confidentiality of your data.

Security and conservation of your personal data

We strive to protect your personal data as much as we can. This data is backed up regurlarly and the people who can access it must be authorized and are in limited number.

We will store your personal data during all of our business relationship and after its expiration and during the time needed for the legitimate conduct of our activities. When we no longer need your personal data, we will destroy it in a secure way.

Our website and applications intended to our customers, are hosted in our data center or at our service providers’ location in France. Our electronic mail and some of our files are hosted within the EEA. However, some treatments may be performed by our suppliers in the United States or outside the EEA. This implies that we may transfer any data transmitted to us via the website, our applications or our electronic messaging system outside the European Economic Area (« EEA »).
