MGI, Ci5 and innovation
MGI wish to go beyond what other Cargo Community Systems and Port Community Systems are able to offer. That’s why they have recently developed, in partnership with Thales Services, a new intelligent cargo system, Ci5, at the Port of Marseille Fos. Designed to replace former national system AP+, Ci5 includes cargo track & trace, vessel tracking, alerts for situations and provides real-time information on the status of any cargo.
See several articles on this subject:
– Port Strategy : The article explains that Ci5 is based on open source technology which lets it communicate with any IT system or use any new technology.
– L’antenne (French magazine)
Did you know that Ci5 won an award in the IT category at the 30th IAPH* World Ports Conference held in Indonesia from 7 to 12 May 2017 (Maritime executive source)? Surely, Ci5 is a revolutionary solution based on five innovative principles that give ports an invaluable competitive edge: Business Intelligence, Activity Monitoring, Fast Lane, Interoperability and User Experience.
